The new Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Russia season is starting off on March, 31. Its symbol will be an infanta in a dress made of Moscow fabrics presented at Moscow Textile exhibition in the Museum of Moscow.
Two times a year, together with artists and designers Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Russia creates an exclusive look for its symbol, the infanta. Each time, this look features current trends or relevant developments. This season, designers decided to experiment with the image: they stylized not only the dress, but the portrait, too. The infanta's image comprises avant-garde, modern, and abstraction along with other art movements.
The new symbol has been inspired by evolution of the city's environment, its culture, and Moscow's fabrics. The infanta's image accords with modern times and reflects the Moscow style tradition, originating in the textile industry history. Since factories were opened in Moscow in the 19th century, this city has been a center of attraction for Moscow and Russian designers.
Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Russia will take place in Manege from March, 31 to April, 4.
