Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Russia is taking place in Moscow. On October 21, new collections were presented by INNOMINATE, Sasha Gapanovich, K/TITOVA, Paulain, TEPLITSKAYA DESIGN, It is ART PIECE. Brands that streamed presented their collections in the video format were kreamonz, 'Rishi, and Juan De La Paz (Bolivia). KISSELENKO brand showcased their collection in AVTODOM Pulkovo dealership center (St. Petersburg).
The official MBFW Russia account (@mbfwrussia) on TikTok proceeds with reality show streaming. The key topic for Day 3 of the Fashion Week was "What has happened to fashion?". Speakers considered current trends, sustainable fashion and brand collaboration, as well as influencers and their impact on the industry. The live stream was participated by Lana Nisnevich, fashion critic, ex Fashion Editor for Cosmopolitan, nominated by Glamour as Influencer 2021, author of an educational fashion blog; Astemir, fashion blogger and stylist; Nixon Gloomov, Creative Director; Anna Mahorina, fashion journalist, author of Post Wintour; Tatyana Nudelman, co-founder of the new consumption culture initiative NOTHING NEW; Aida Levanova, ecologist, Ecology Editor at SHER; Nikita Nikitin, Head of Innovation Department, curator of digital fashion projects at TEXEL; Ilyas Darakchiev, digital footwear designer.
On Day 3, a public talk with Eva Sviridova, founder of sxema 3D studio took place – they discussed what digital fashion is and how it can be used.
October 21 became the day when the following brands showcased their collections at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Russia.
TEPLITSKAYA DESIGN
The new collection by TEPLITSKAYA DESIGN presented at MBFW Russia is called SILHOUETTE. COLOR. TEXTURE and took the audience back to the 1970s. Trying to put the updated glamour on the display, Elena Teplitskaya used slim fit silk dresses, velvet coats, vivid colors and varicolored elegant jersey.

Every collection by the brand founded in St. Petersburg by Ulyana Devivier is a dedication to a certain global art milestone. This time, she found inspiration in surrealistic paintings where real world gets mixed with the world of dreams.The new collection Votes for Women was inspired by the designer's study of the female suffragist movement. The shero of her collection is the image of a lady of keen intellect that is eager to share her surrealistic and unconventional take on life with the world. Inclemency of the collection is demonstrated by eco-leather pieces – versicolor and printed, and the basic method for look design implies contrasting fabrics and colors borrowed from Salvador Dali's paintings. The collection embraced cropped slim fit jackets, pencil skirts, Bermuda shorts and raincoats.

This St. Petersburg-based brand offered some versions of a party celebrating the victory over coronavirus. 19 looks in the collection feature vivid transformations, an attempt to recall how the post-pandemic world would look like. The designers' message is that the long-term isolation definitely upended the world of fashion. This where the provocative neon evening gowns with futuristic spirit come along with comfortable pajama suits and cozy footwear.

The brand designers were inspired by the modern trends, their consumers and their own sense of beauty.The new collection called Radiance is dedicated to the superpower concealed inside every female being. The key highlight is radiance brought into focus thanks to classical silhouettes inspired by the golden couture of the 1990s. The collection features the finest fabrics – chiffon, organza and gauze, which make the dresses multi-layered yet light. Lots of glitter and crystals make all of them shiny and sparkling.

This St. Petersburg-based brand follows the upcycling principle, and that is why the designers use second-hand pieces. With the new collection, they proceed with developing their brand's DNA. Basic features of the looks presented were patchwork, chequers, laconism and the casual style.

A Room of One's Own is the new collection of the brand that tells the life and work story of Virginia Woolf, a famous British writer. Key images from her novels became the basis for prints showcased. Having studied private archives of the writer, the designer thought of simulating wet fabrics and faded prints. Floral motives were inspired by the pictures of Virginia's garden, and these also defined the color palette of the collection. The beacon, the seagull and water are the symbols that refer to Mrs. Woolf's life and work, and they are used both in prints and cuts.

Juan de La Paz is a Bolivian brand established by Juan Pereira and Andrés Jordan, who follow the slow fashion concept. Their online presentation embraced just a few looks, but all of them are so vivid. Tunics, dresses and fringed mantles were all inspired by the national costumes of the Andes – Chola. The accessories for the collection were made in collaboration with local crafts masters – hammock weavers and wood carvers.

This Russian brand established by brothers Roman and Alexander Kim adheres to laconicism in terms of design and pays special attention to geometry. Their collection Knight and Day, consonant with Night and Day, is a story of equilibrium between masculinity and femininity, and the philosophic concept of the universe. It embraced oversize suits, pleated mantle-dresses and extensive shorts. Some of the pieces features floral prints, but the designer's passion to shapes, textures and multilayered looks took its cost – most of the looks were monochromic, made of dense fabrics.

Lilia Kisselenko founded her brand in St. Petersburg in 1998, and since then they've been producing pret-a-porter clothing. At MBFW Russia, they brought a collection inspired by the Baroque art. Sophisticated choice of shapes and textures, and the looks of the models – here, even the finest details put a start to an intellectual game of history and contemporaneity. The audience was presented overcoats, gowns and suits, featuring all the shades of black with rare highlights of light graphic prints.

This young eclectic womenswear brand from the Russian Far North presented its new collection Aurora, inspired by the designer's native lands' uniqueness. The color palette features soil shades – khaki, green, burgundy, mustard and military print. Quilted Bermuda shorts, skirts, head kerchiefs, cape overcoats and zephyrous gowns combined with wool leggings talked about the beauty of the North and demonstrated how the very minute natural details form the overall image.

The Museum of Moscow was founded in 1896 and is located in the Proviant Warehouses, an architectural memorial of federal importance. Their collection comprises about 800 thous. pieces, including an extensive set of archaeological artifacts.
